While our roots go back decades to the vision of Hanshi Nico and Shihan Bill Cook, our Glendale training environment is led by Owner Gary Scott Sr. We have evolved into a premier destination where families and individuals come together to grow stronger and healthier. We aren't a traditional "dojo"; we are a modern training facility that respects the discipline of the past while pushing the performance of the future.
Meet Senpai Gary Scott Sr.
Owner, Lead Instructor & MMAYO Ambassador
Senpai Gary Scott Sr. doesn’t just teach transformation—he’s lived it. As the Owner and Lead Instructor of 2KnuckleSports Glendale, Gary brings a "mentorship-first" approach to every class. With years of hands-on experience in MMA, Boxing, and traditional arts, his goal is to help every student—from the 3-year-old Super Little Ninja to the competitive adult athlete—build a mindset of accountability and resilience.
Beyond the mats, Gary serves as an Ambassador for MMA Youth Outreach (MMAYO). He is dedicated to providing trauma-informed mentorship and life skills to at-risk youth, using martial arts as a vehicle for positive change in the Glendale community.
A Unified System of Mastery
The Nikidokai System taught at 2KnuckleSports is a comprehensive approach to martial arts. Rather than being a "Judo school" or just a "Karate school," we utilize a blended curriculum that draws from the most effective elements of several traditional and modern disciplines:
Shorin-Ryu Karate: For striking, blocks, and traditional forms.
Aikido: Focusing on redirection, joint locks, and movement.
Kobudo: The study of traditional Okinawan weapons.
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA): The integration of Boxing, Kickboxing, and Grappling for modern performance.
